Waiting!

While most of us are in a hurry in life, it seems God is usually not in a hurry. The problem with waiting is not having all the details. From our perspective, we have everything figured out and we want God to move within our time frame.
God rarely does things according to our time frame, and we may get discouraged.
However, waiting helps build patience in our lives, it changes our character,
it builds intimacy and dependency.
In the book of  Habakkuk  2:3 it  says "But these things I plan wont happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!"

God has a plan for you and I, what ever that plan may be we all have to go through the process of waiting. If you take a closer look at the men and women of the bible they waited on Gods timing. They had a calling, God has given them a vision but it wasn't instantly given to them, they all had to go through the process of waiting. Even Jesus waited 30 years to begin his public ministry.

Even as I write this, it is hard to grasp. I am use to my "independent self" but God wants me to surrender and be dependent on him more, I am use to getting things done quick and on my time but God wants me to rely on his perfect timing. This "waiting" teaches me to trust him.
The delay is not a denial it is a building up of what God planned out for our lives, his perfect will in us. Don't give up the vision God has given you, its the enemy using his tactics to discourage you. He knows the impact we have on other peoples lives and he will do anything he can to stop us from attaining that dream, that vision, that goal. So wait in the Lord, seek him out more, go to his presence and get filled by his strength and peace.
